I'm looking for a bit of advice. My bike has very recently been condemmed to the scrap heap; I have been told that it is unfixable, as the frame has been damaged. I never like giving up on things, but with minimal knowledge of bicycle workings, I have to accept that I need a new bike. I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good commuting bike...I cycle about 70 miles a week, and need something with minimum maintenace....I can fix a puncture and change brake blocks, oil chains etc, but beyond that I'm a bit useless. I also like to sit up quite straight when I am cycling...any suggestions gratefully received, thanks!
